The venue is great for small outdoor concerts and parties. The stage is inside the main gate near the water ways that run in the middle of the CAL EXPO fairgrounds. The venue is also used to feature many of the major artists that appear at The California State Fair. The Cove has seats that face the stage and a grass area with wide steps (referred to as bleachers in venue seating chart). The Cove Stage and Pavilion area are also used for festivals or parties that can extend into the fairgrounds and/or be hosted indoors.
