Tesla The band played the Sacramento night club scene in the early 80's under the name City Kidd. They established a great rock following and eventually signed with Geffen Records in 1986, and went on to release Mechanical Resonance under the new group name of Tesla. The album took off and the band toured almost non-stop into the 90's. The single Love Song became a top ten hit and the music video for MTV was filmed at Cal Expo during a summer concert in 1989. After the 1990 release of Five Man Acoustical Jam, Signs becomes another big hit for Tesla and also marked the band's fourth album to go platinum. Later in the 90's they took a break from each other and the crazy life of a touring rock band. But in 2000, after a reunion show at Arco Arena rocked thousands of fans the band got busy and released Into the Now in 2004. The band also toured with Scorpions & Keith Emerson and appeared at Arco Arena, check out the pictures of the show below and more recent shows are also posted up in the Photo Gallery. It's been over 20 years and the band continues to tour and release new music. 2009 will be a busy year for the band so be sure and check out all the latest info on their official weblink below.
