The Saint Patricks Day Block Party hosted by Deveres Irish Pub will take place on Wednesday, March 17th in downtown Sacramento on L street between 15th and 16th from 8AM - 2AM. The event includes two stages of live music from traditional irish bands and dancers, and in the evening dance band Tainted Love, plenty of food, a whiskey tent, and two outdoor bars with 26 beer taps. A limited amount of advance tickets went on sale March 1st for $20.00/$25.00 day of event.
The Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts on the UC Davis Campus hosts a variety of musical events in the Jackson Hall Theatre with three tier seating and state of the art sound and design. On Wednesday April 7th, Elvis Costello will appear. More musical events coming soon include UC Davis Concert Band on March 10th, Vienna Boys Choir on March 12th, Wennberg Music Festival on March 27th, and Arlo Guthrie on April 22nd. NorCal Concerts Not Coming To The Sacramento Area: There are some great concert venues in the Bay Area that are hosting shows not coming through the Sacramento area. HP Pavilion in San Jose seats 22,000 with has 65 luxury suites and lower club seating for fans. On Wednesday, March 24th Jay-Z will bring his BP3 Tour to San Jose. More concerts coming soon to HP Pavilion that are not scheduled to pass through the Sacramento area include: John Mayer* James Taylor & Carole King* Taylor Swift*.
